The Major, that is Major Mira, as she is referred to in most cases is the first of her kind, a perfect blend of natural and synthetic, man and machine. The mind and soul of a human is in her but have the advantages of a machine/robot.
Though there is something out of order that The Major is yet to understand. She keeps getting these glitches and hallucinations that increases regularly of her superiors not being entirely truthful to her.
